"Ancient moorland where wild ponies roam free among granite tors"

About

Dartmoor National Park is one of England's last truly wild places — a vast, windswept moorland punctuated by dramatic granite tors and roamed by herds of semi-wild Dartmoor ponies. These hardy ponies, one of Britain's oldest native breeds, have lived on the moor for thousands of years. Hike up to Hay Tor or Hound Tor and you'll encounter ponies grazing freely, buzzards circling overhead, and on clear days, views stretching to the sea. The moor also hides ancient stone circles, Bronze Age villages, and hidden moorland streams.
